Moist weather were expected to linger along much of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.

The following day was expected to become the wettest day, with continued thunderstorm potential expected across multiple regions of both states.

Health Warning

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the current weather patterns.
